A beautiful tree carving was unveiled at Brampton Museum park this morning.

Local Chainsaw Carver Anthony Hammond has produced a masterpiece over the last few days.

A lasting tribute to those who fell on the beaches of Normandy for the freedoms we have today.

This Friday see Maxim's Moment II - Return of the Max...

Denholm Siegertsz will be replaying the tunes from Newcastle-under-Lyme's Premier Poseur's Palace in the 80's & 90's.

If you're of a certain age and living in Newcastle you will remember Maxims and we're looking to bring back the faces from that time... A chance to dance with like minded people who still love the music of the time.
There aren't many places for us to go and dance to our music 'All Night Long' so get ready to make this a 'Night To Remember'.

The first night was a sell-out, we have tickets still available in a bigger venue, with an exclusive room for us.

AFTER 20 GLORIOUS YEARS IT'S THANK YOU AND GOODNIGHT...

This will be a very difficult post for me to write…
Because after 20 years I have to let my baby The Gold Disc.com go…
It’s a good job this is not a letter, as the pages would be dotted with my tears…
It’s like a breakup or losing someone close, I will grieve this for a long time.

If you’re reading this as my very valued customers and in some cases friends, I would like to thank you for trusting us to create something special for you over the years…

Times have been very difficult since the lockdown, we lost a lot of our music customers for over a year as we waited for Live Music to return to normal and there have been other businesses that also have not made it over the past couple of years.

Overheads and costs kept going up and demand was going down, it was just finding a point where the stress on my family and the finances got the stage where there was no way forward for the business.

I’d like to thank Callum who was kind enough to stick with me to the end of his notice and help me over the line with everything that has come through recently.
I’m sure you would like to give him your best too, as he has been a big part of the excellent customer service, we’ve offered over the years.
You’ll be happy to know that Callum is walking straight into a new job on Monday 26th June.

What will happen to The Gold Disc ATM I don’t know; it may end up in the hands of another owner! if it does, I hope they can match and exceed our service.

At this stage, I don’t know where my next move is… I have been managing the closure of the business and when I hand the keys over this week, I will be bereft… ☹

Many of my contacts are all over the country, it’s difficult to ask if you know of any jobs, but if there is a WFH job in your business that you think may be suitable for a man of many talents, please let me know 😉

Once again thank you for your custom over the last 20 years… it’s been a pleasure and privilege.
