In addition to books: Classic rock and, erm... Ken Dodd, at Bopcap Books. Yes, we've just had a long overdue infusion of great vinyl LPs which have just gone out into the racks - including some genuine Bowie and Zappa rarities, which we're particularly excited about.

Levenshulme Old Library is a much-loved historic building that’s become a home for arts, heritage and community in Levenshulme. Our board of trustees are the people who help steer that journey - and we’d love some new faces and fresh energy around the table.

Why get involved?
- Help shape creative projects that make a difference locally
- Play a role in looking after a beautiful Carnegie library building
- Be part of a supportive, passionate team with a big vision for Levenshulme

This year we’re especially keen to hear from people with skills in:
- Finance and accounting
- Architecture or construction
- Council partnerships and local authority engagement
- Creative community ventures

No previous trustee experience is needed - just enthusiasm, curiosity and a willingness to pitch in.

Our AGM is on Sunday 9th November, from 2.30pm - a perfect chance to hear what we’ve been up to and find out if being a trustee might be for you.

Last call out! 🔔 We would love to hear from craftspeople who would like to trade at next week's Medieval Faire on 27 September ❤️ Be part of our exciting medieval celebration in the heart of Manchester City Centre!

👉 No table fee required, but vendors must have Public Liability insurance
👉 We'd love to see crafts of handmade objects, sellers of pre-made foods such as honey and cheese, art and book-related items
👉 If you have your own table or gazebo that would be a bonus 😉

In addition to Bopcap Books: Our new shop in Macclesfield town centre. We opened the doors to the public on Saturday and our signage finally went up today. A similar concept to Bopcap Books (books, art, prints, greetings cards etc), but with a much greater emphasis on offering a highly-curated selection of great new books.

We have something new coming up in Macclesfield (to go alongside Bopcap Books in Manchester). Watch this space…

Very excited that we are getting some new neighbours. The Quiet Cat independent bookshop will be opening next door in a few weeks and I for one can’t wait to see what gems they have in store 🌈

So utterly chuffed to be able to offer these little gems for sale in our shop: The Zodiac Books series was published by Chatto & Windus from the late 1930s to 1942. They consisted of literary classics sold as gift books, with many featuring covers designed by the celebrated 'pioneer of pattern', Enid Marx (1902 - 1998). Prices vary from £6 - £14 depending upon condition, with a couple of the rarer titles having been shuffled away - soon to appear for sale on our website!
