We are proud to be hosting an Andy’s Man Club Event at Enigma Lakes, sponsored by Enigma Baits, from Saturday 15th August (8am) until Sunday 16th August (5pm). Enigma Baits is funding 14 anglers, from or affiliated with Andy’s Man Club, to spend the weekend fishing for free, with an emphasis solely on the physical and mental health benefits of angling. All proceeds – £630 – will then be donated to Andy’s Man Club.
By opening up all 14 pegs, we raise the levels of inclusivity and support, with each angler able to socialise with the individual next to them. If the event is in high demand, or personal circumstances dictate, we can facilitate ‘buddying up’ on pegs – a rod each, or just to have a friend, loved one or support figure around. The weekend will feature an informal AMC session with an accompanying BBQ and refreshments, held on the Sunday afternoon. Anglers can chat without inhibitions or judgement – essentially a ‘share if you want to’ discussion, hosted by AMC reps, with no pressure to speak. Each individual participating in the event will receive and Andy’s Man Club.
Enigma Lakes, Enigma Baits and Andy’s Man Club will capture moments, if the angler feels comfortable, of the weekend to discuss how angling benefits mental health, shining a positive light on the sport.
Anglers will receive a take-home support pack, and free merchandise will be available so anglers can wear a piece that encapsulates how angling and mental health can combine for good.
As part of the event, Enigma Lakes Ltd to donate 10 x day tickets to AMC, which can be handed out to those who feel angling would benefit their mental health.🎣
