We’re looking for a Job Coach to join Severnside Skills at Ta**us Crafts, Lydney.
This is a rewarding role supporting trainees with special educational needs (SEN) to develop their skills, confidence and experience for future employment.
Salary: £29,000–£31,000 pro rata, dependent on skills and experience
Hourly rate: £14.87–£15.90
This is a permanent, part-time, term-time role
You’ll help trainees to:
• Access and succeed in meaningful work placements
• Build workplace skills and confidence
• Develop CVs and prepare for interviews
• Explore their strengths, skills and future options
• Develop independent travel skills where possible
• Progress towards volunteering or paid employment
You’ll also work closely with employers, families, tutors and other professionals, while building relationships with local businesses to create new opportunities for trainees.
We’re looking for someone with:
• Experience in a job coach or employment support role
• Experience working with young people/adults with SEN
• Experience of supported internships or similar work-related programmes
• Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
• A passion for enabling people with SEN to succeed
• A clean driving licence with business cover
