Calling all adventurers! We have the wonderful bestselling local author Cathy Bramley coming to our festival on Sunday 21st June at Lowdham Village Hall where she will be talking with our brilliant interviewer Dr Tim Rideout about her recent novel, Somewhere Only We Know. The story is about a grieving mother who decides to honour her daughter’s life by setting off on the gap year that 23 year old Bronte had planned so carefully. Although obviously a sad story it’s also really inspiring about how you’re never too old for an adventure!
Cathy herself embarked on a shorter version of a “gap year” earlier in 2026 and will be talking about her experiences, showing photos and videos and sharing her “seize the day” philosophy!
Tickets include a “goody bag” containing a copy of Cathy’s Quick Read book, The Surprise Visitor, plus our lovely Summer Books catalogue and bookmark and travel sized toiletries from the beautiful Inis range.
We will have very special offers on our bookstall and of course we invite your questions for Cathy!
We look forward to welcoming you to this special and inspirational morning!
