Good morning BebeMakes community! ☀️
Help a mum out 😅

The big summer holidays are going to be upon us sooner than we realise, this week has been a taster and honestly the "I'm bored" had already started and we were barely into it 😂

So I'm coming to YOU — give me your best ideas for keeping the kids occupied during the school holidays!
Things that will actually last more than 5 minutes 😂
Gets them off the TV and away from the gadgets
Simple enough that we're not setting up for an hour to do 10 minutes of activity 😅
I'm talking tuff tray ideas, water play, garden games, table forts, baking, crafts — anything you've tried with your kids and thought "why didn't I think of that sooner?!"

AND — I will actually test the ideas out and report back so we can figure out what genuinely works and what's Pinterest lies 😂

It's an age old crime and yet here we are again 😂
The playdough colours. MIXED.

We all know why it happens — because no kid in the history of ever wanted a one-coloured racing car or a single-shade princess.
But also... nobody wants to play with it once it's turned that lovely murky brown either, do they 😅
So we're all just living in this cycle with no way out.

With so many kids sitting SATs and GCSEs right now I thought this felt pretty relevant 🎉
My eldest is on her last SATs exam today and honestly her teacher has been absolutely incredible — right beside them all week, keeping them calm, keeping them going.
So I thought what better way to say thank you than a little gift she'll actually use and love 🎁

On a completely unrelated note...
Apparently ALL the other kids are getting special presents for finishing SATs week. Money, days out, holidays... my daughter casually mentioned a few ideas of her own 😂
Naturally I had a word with the other mums.
Turns out the kids had been comparing notes and seeing exactly how much they could get out of us.
Absolute chancers, the lot of them 😂😂

This morning, rushing out the door for the school run and I had to stop and take a quick picture! 📸
Scattered across the ground were loads of leaves covered in the most perfect little water droplets. Something so simple. So still. So beautiful.
I got home an hour later and every single one had blown away in the wind — completely gone like they'd never been there.
Glad I stopped. Glad I looked.
Sometimes the nicest moments are the ones you nearly walked straight past 🍂

We had visitors this morning 🦌
First thing, one of the kids came flying over to tell me they were outside — three muntjac deer just wandering round the garden like they owned the place, helping themselves to the trees and the veggie peelings without so much as a thank you 😂
Honestly they're so beautiful though, couldn't be annoyed about it for a second.
Do you get any little visitors come by? I always love hearing what people spot in their gardens 👇
