Another Artfully Sorted art sourcing project completed ✔️

All our projects begin with an in-person consultation in the client's space, during which we scope out the wall or walls they would like to source art for. We then discuss the client's vision and their artistic preferences - are they looking for an artwork to complement the space or a piece that is collectible. The brief for this Central London apartment was to find a work that did both.

We presented a curated hand-picked selection of original artworks for consideration. Our client was drawn to this stunning abstract painting by Omar Obaid for its calming palette yet vibrant.

Omar Obaid is a highly sought-after contemporary abstract expressionist based in London. He is known for statement artworks filled with movement and colour inspired by everyday life. His paintings have appeared in TV shows such as Suits, has collectors in over 35 countries, and was commissioned to do paintings for a Las Vegas ballroom amongst other establishments.

This stunning South West London home perfectly showcases Jane Berry Interiors' ability to design spaces that feel both sophisticated and deeply personal. By combining bold architectural colour with soft textures, bespoke joinery and curated furnishings, Jane has transformed this living space into a room that is as welcoming as it is striking.

To complement the design, Artfully Sorted sourced a statement artwork by British contemporary artist Victoria Horkan. The brief was to bring energy, movement and vibrancy whilst honouring the interior scheme. Set against the dramatic blue backdrop, the piece acts as a focal point, drawing together the warm terracotta accents, soft grey upholstery and intricate patterned textiles found throughout the room.

The end result is a space that feels cohesive, elegant and timeless.

A perfect example of how a thoughtfully sourced artwork and exceptional interior design can collaborate to elevate a home.

We always delight in visiting the London Original Print Fair, situated within the historic and captivating surroundings of Somerset House. With its mix of historic masters, contemporary editions, and emerging talent, the fair is a celebration of printmaking as an art form.

Printmaking is a dynamic and varied from etching and lithography to screenprints and woodcuts, the breadth of techniques and styles on display makes it an especially exciting area of art to engage with and collect.

It was an extra special visit this year as we caught glimpse of Tracey Emin’s brand new series of prints, 'I Need Tomorrow' — showing here for the first time and comprising six intimate lithographs depicting the artist in editions of 50. Each print is a hand-pulled lithograph, created by Emin at the Counter Studio in Margate. The series coincides with Emin’s exhibition A Second Life at Tate Modern, and reflects the deeply personal, confessional style that has become synonymous with her work. Awe inspiring and beautiful.

Alongside many other wonderful artworks on display, a visit to in our view places this as one of the top events in London’s art fair calendar. Open until Sunday 17 May.

On Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday, we celebrate a true legend — a voice that has inspired generations to cherish, protect and fight for the natural world. 🌍💚

His lifelong dedication to a number of conservation charities and environmental organisations reminds us that every action, no matter how small, can make a difference.

We were incredibly proud that our art exhibition 'Nature Reflected' was recognised by World Land Trust, a charity Sir David Attenborough is a Patron of, as one of their "inspiring fundraisers". Through donations from exhibition sales, we and the 22 artists involved in our show played a small part in protecting some of the planet’s most threatened habitats and species through supporting vital conservation work.

This was a special exhibition for us to have curated as it was held during Covid, when in-person art exhibitions were not allowed. We staged the exhibition in our founder Charissa Risley's home and promoted the art through digital channels. It was wonderful seeing the power of art not only to brighten people's homes - as so much time was spent inside of them - but also to give back to an incredible charity at the same time.

Thank you to all the collectors who supported the exhibition, and to our wonderful artists who made it possible. Art truly has the power to inspire and change.

And to Sir David — thank you for opening our eyes to the beauty and fragility of our world.

Paying tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on her 100th birthday.

She was our strength and stay, and so very missed by many, especially during these turbulent and uncertain times.

Remembering her today for all her dedication to this country and beyond.

This portrait of a newly crowned Queen Elizabeth II was by Australian artist Sir William Dargie, completed in 1954. The Queen toured Australia that year, and was the first time a reigning monarch had visited.
