Y'all showed up and showed out at Beatfreaq yesterday. We anticipated filling the box but you came in with several boxes, bags and most importantly love for our Beatfreaq monthly event This month we partnered with Second Harvest Metrolina to host a food drive and we ended up with a small pantry worth of food. Our hearts are full and the gratitude is overflowing. I am going to try and arrange for Second Harvest to pick up the items but if you have some time to deliver, it is preferred. You can contact me at [email protected] or inbox me. When I say the essence of hip-hop culture was present, it was present! Each and every Beat General represented to the fullest. Not only were the Stevie Wonder flips amazing and creative, each and every other beat you ran was a soul touch. The blessing of being at the door is that I get to ear-hustle all the good gossip and watch the entire room light up when they love something. Let's keep this tradition of giving and gathering going. A special shout out to my partner in crime for the hard work he does to keep Beatfreaq moving. A special shout out to for making sure things are intact from the sound to the flow of the event. We have so much love for for setting the tone for each and every Beatfreaq and keeping the crowd moving between sets. It is an extra blessing when you have producers who have been on the road working on (I am going to call it), grammy award winning albums or folks who have been deejaying around the world and they make Beatfreaq their first stop when they hop off tour, just to feel the beauty of the culture.
