Darkness is drawn to the light ….and light makes it hers…

There is something about this time of year that makes us dress a little differently. Velvet ribbons, extravagant frills, pale pearls against black. A little theatre a little magic ✨

Think of the candlelit drama of The Phantom of the Opera, the mist and uneasy beauty of Sleepy Hollow. Worlds where innocence and danger share the same frame, and beauty never quite tells the whole story.
Fashion lets us borrow that tension. The softness of a white neckline against dark velvet. A delicate shimmer with a commanding silhouette. Not dressing as a character, but dressing for a mood.

This 1990s Lanvin necklace captures it beautifully: a velvet ribbon at the throat, a cascade of pearls and chains catching the light. Vintage jewellery with enough presence to tell its own tale, long after the seasons change.

A final invitation to our Halloween promotion: enjoy 20% off selected pieces, including this Lanvin, with code HALLOWEEN at checkout.

LANVIN RUNWAY 90’

1990s runway Lanvin, with all the drama that promises. A cascade of pearl-like beads and trailing chains, suspended from black velvet ribbon tied in generous bows. Softness, movement and a little theatrical excess.
Against an ivory neckline, every detail comes into its own. Romantic, unapologetic and far too interesting to save for a special occasion.
For the collector who dresses to be remembered.

Dior at the ears. Victorian drama at the throat.

Leaf earrings meet a richly layered green choker, with glints of light and delicate drops that move with you. Two eras, one unapologetic mood.

This is how I love to style vintage: not as a costume, but as a signature. Unexpected pairings. Beautiful detail. Nothing timid.

For the collector who would rather be remembered than blend in.

Some pieces finish an outfit. These three are the entire mood. ✨

1988 Chanel star earrings with rich tiger’s eye and rhinestone sparkle. An Anne Ghez charm necklace bringing wearable art to the neckline. A 1980s Rodo metallic gold box bag with a panther handle, because even your evening bag should have a wild side.

Together: golden-hour glamour with after-dark intentions.

For the collector who dresses by instinct, not by formula.

Some creatures aren’t meant to be tamed. Only treasured. 🌙 🌑

Our Kenneth Jay Lane kelpie is off to his new home, just in time for Halloween.

Black and white enamel, glittering crystal pavé and a little otherworldly charm. A mythical creature with quite the presence, now beginning his next chapter with a new keeper.

Sold out. The spell, however, remains.

Sometimes the beast is hidden in the beauty 🐺

Our nod to Brotherhood of the Wolf this Halloween. A little mystery, a little decadence, and jewels with a past.
Set in 18th-century France, the film follows the hunt for a mysterious beast through a world of secrets and aristocratic intrigue. Our interpretation borrows the mask, but turns the tale on its head.

The beast was in the beauty all along.

A Victorian glass choker. Dior by Mitchel Maer earrings. Black lace and a gaze that gives nothing away. Two eras of jewellery, brought together for one deliciously dark affair.

As autumn’s love of lace, velvet and chokers unfolds, vintage brings its own enchantment. Not simply dressing for the night, but becoming part of its story.

With just one week to go, head to our website for 20% off selected Halloween pieces. The perfect finishing touch for masked soirées and Halloween balls.

Beauty, with a little bite. 🐺

An autumn forest fairy, dressed in Dior. 🍂✨
Not the pastel kind. Think moss-covered branches, ivy after rainfall and the last light catching on leaves. A little woodland enchantment, with a darker, more grown-up glamour.
For this look, I’ve paired 1950s Christian Dior earrings by Mitchell Maer with a Victorian green glass choker. The glass glows like a canopy of autumn greens, while delicate chains and suspended drops trace the neckline like jewelled vines.
Mitchell Maer was a British costume jewellery maker who produced pieces for Christian Dior during the 1950s. His work for the house is admired for its intricate construction and richly detailed settings, bringing the imagination of couture to costume jewellery.
Here, that mid-century glamour meets Victorian romance. Two eras connected by colour, texture and a sense of enchantment.
This is why I love curating vintage: sometimes, pieces made decades apart seem to belong to the same fairy tale.

Victorian after dark, with a touch of Dior. 🖤
Pairing these 1950s Christian Dior earrings by Mitchell Maer with a Victorian green glass choker, bringing two distinct eras into one decidedly dramatic look.
The earrings nestle against the ear like little jewelled sculptures, while the choker wraps the neckline in luminous green glass, intricate chains and delicate drops. Deep, mossy colour, glints of light and just enough darkness.
This is what I love about curating vintage: pieces don’t need to come from the same decade to belong together. A shared mood can be far more compelling than a matching set.
Part Victorian romance, part mid-century glamour. Entirely my kind of autumn dressing.
