🍺⚽ Football Season Is Back... But We Still Have No TVs! ⚽🍺

Yep, you read that right. No giant screens, no commentary blasting through the speakers, and no fighting for a view of the match.

Not everyone is football mad, and that's perfectly fine! If you're looking for a quiet spot to enjoy a crisp, fresh pint, good conversation, and a relaxed atmosphere, we've got you covered.

So while the football fans are shouting at the referee, why not escape the noise and join us for a proper pint in peace? 🍺

Sometimes the best match is between you and a perfectly poured beer.

A quiet pub, great beer, and no VAR debates required! πŸ»πŸ˜„

Wow...... wow just.
Club Day done and dusted and we've had the most amazing day.
Fabulous atmosphere and just packed to the rafters.
Thank-you to everyone for your patience and appreciation. To say the kitchen was busy is like saying rain is wet 🀣 your feedback and gratitude was just wonderful.
Special .... special mentions for Summer & Bev who worked like troopers and just never stopped. 'A-TEAM' at it's very best πŸ‘Œ
Hope you all enjoy the rest of your celebrations and we'll see you all Monday for breakfast and a catch up πŸ‘

Every town and village has that one shop people always recommend. It might be your local butcher, a farm shop, a charity shop, a florist, a hairdresser, a gift shop, or somewhere completely different.

Councillor Adam Brierley bravo πŸ‘ and bravo to everyone who helped out. We will be adding our touch to Poulton Street tomorrow. I've seen that Lily B's has added bunting to their window and hopefully many more will so that Poulton Street is a wash of colour for the walkers πŸ€žπŸ‘

🚨 I’ve got loads of bunting that needs putting up and would really appreciate a hand. If you can help out, please meet me in Market Square at 1pm or drop me a message. Any help would be greatly appreciated! 🚨

It’s been good to see so many people talking about Club Day over the last few days. Whatever your view on the bunting situation, it shows how much this tradition means to our town.

Like everyone else, I only heard about the issue on Tuesday night. Rather than spending time debating it online, I decided to see what could be done.

With help from St Michael’s Church and Kirkham Town Council, I managed to get hold of loads of bunting. I booked the morning off work, put my coat on and got out there to help put some up.

For me, that’s what community is all about. If something needs doing, let’s get on and do it.

There has also been a lot of discussion about the support behind Club Day. Fylde Borough Council contributed Β£750 towards the event, with Kirkham Town Council providing a further Β£250.

I’m not interested in pointing fingers or getting involved in a blame game. The reality is that putting on events is becoming more challenging, and there will always be different views on how things could have been handled.

What matters now is making sure Club Day is a success. The children taking part in the procession deserve to see the town looking its best and to have plenty of people lining the streets to support them.

So let’s focus on the day itself, support everyone taking part, and make sure Kirkham gives Club Day the welcome it deserves. πŸ’ͺ
