Oh, the news about David Hockney is such a blow. I’ve always been a fan. What an absolute legend, pioneer and inspiring artist he was. A true Yorkshire icon. ❤️💔

Think music, conversation, a drink from the bar, interesting materials to explore and maybe even a little piece of art to take home at the end of the evening.

No drawing experience needed — we’ll have three optional Cow & Calf templates available to work from, alongside plenty of inspiration, collage materials and a demonstration to get you started.

Anyone can give it a go.

I created this piece for a friend’s birthday, inspired by their garden and the shed they built themselves. 🌿

I love drawing nature and collecting old botany and gardening books. One of my favourites is a 1969 Reader’s Digest Gardening Year annual, packed with beautiful illustrations.

I’m always looking for ways to incorporate these vintage botanical drawings into my artwork, mixing them with collage, paint and pen to create something new.

*note to self - I must go and search some antique/ charity shops for more old books to rip up! 😁
