My week so far. I've had a little change in my window of my happy place. Rory our bundle of mischief has been clipped again. He is a lucky chap, rescued from a life of abuse and he has landed on his feet, living his best life. It was lovely to down tools and visit my daughter at Uni, see her settled into her new accommodation and enjoy some time with her.
The Victorian patchwork quilt was bought from the lovely Julie from Minnie and Nora at our last gathering and it replaces one that I stole from my daughter's bed to sell to the actress Frances de la Tour. I didn't think that my daughter would miss it but she did so perhaps she is a secret antiques lover after all. Sometimes needs must in the world of antiques. The painting and adorable lamb were also purchased at our gatherings and typical of what will turn up, just beautiful things that are impossible to resist. The dahlias are home grown, my first attempt at growing from tubers and it is encouraging. They look lovely in the old Doulton jug that I bought recently from a lovely friend. Nothing new in my shabby home. The dachsunds above the bed are by David Hockney, a print bought many moons ago along with all the other prints. I'm looking forward to what will turn up at our next gathering.
Wishing you all a lovely day.
