Can a poet who died a century ago still speak to us today?

Lady Gaga carries words from Letters to a Young Poet tattooed on her arm. More than a hundred years after they were written, Rainer Maria Rilke's words continue to inspire artists across the world.

On Friday 31 July, we're proud to present the world premiere of You Must Change Your Life – Rilke · Rodin · Gwen John, a specially commissioned narrative concert written and composed by Tony Britten, starring Roy Marsden, Nicholas Mulroy and Alisdair Hogarth.

Marking the centenary of Rilke's death and the 150th anniversary of Gwen John's birth, this unique evening brings together poetry, music and art in the beautiful setting of St Andrew's Church, Holt.
