Hello 2026 👋
I know everyone always says January is the longest month of the year, but trust me, take it as holiday and it will fly 😂
I’m getting ready to get back into the workshop this week, but before I do, I thought I’d have a little reflect on January…
This year marks the 5th year that I have closed Jordan Lily HQ for the whole of January 🤯 It always feels super extravagant, but it’s been one of best things for my business.
Obviously it comes with a cost, but by anticipating my usual burn out pattern and chronic illness flare after such a busy season, it means I feel more rested and balanced to begin the year ✨
January highlights this year include a lovely off-grid log cabin stay with friends (think reading by the fire, hot tub star gazing and a well-used cocktail shaker), visiting some bears, seeing the Northern Lights on my doorstep and lots of coffees by the sea.
Not pictured includes: slow mornings, catch ups with chums, getting to grips with new food intolerances, physio appointments, sofa afternoons, gentle walks and dragging myself to do my tax return 😂 Don’t worry, I did meet the deadline!
I’m not sure what 2026 is going to hold, but with 11 months ahead of me, I’m excited to see where they’ll lead ✨
