For our second reveal from Treasures from the Isles, we’re shining a light on Scotland’s rugged island shores with this beautiful hand-painted Scottish Isles Lighthouse Dish by Julie Childs Glass Artist. 💙

For centuries, lighthouses have stood watch over Scotland’s coastlines, guiding sailors safely through rolling mist, wild seas, and Atlantic storms.

Inspired by Julie’s time in Orkney and the iconic lighthouses that have become woven into island life, each dish captures the beauty, mystery, and magic of Scotland’s northern shores.

One of the greatest joys of Heartbox is the community that has grown around it.

A clan of Scotland lovers brought together by heritage, curiosity, shared stories, and a love for this bonnie wee country we call home.

This month, we’re delighted to celebrate our June Heartboxer of the Month, Katie.✨

When we asked what she loves most about Heartbox, her answer perfectly captured the spirit of what we hope every box delivers:

💙 “The surprise. What neat things from another land do I get to check out?”

With Scottish ancestry in her family history, each Heartbox offers another opportunity to connect with Scotland’s culture, traditions, and makers.

While choosing a favourite theme proved impossible, one thing was clear, she has completely fallen in love with the Highland coo! 🐮💙

One of her first Heartboxes included our beloved Nessie and Highland Coo drink stirrers, and ever since then she’s had a soft spot for Scotland’s most iconic shaggy residents.

She even shared a wonderful idea for a future Heartbox, exploring the stories of Loch Ness, not just Nessie herself, but the history, landscape, and legends that make this corner of Scotland so fascinating.

We were also delighted to hear about her involvement supporting a local colour guard alongside the Black Watch, helping keep Scottish traditions alive and thriving within her community.

It’s stories like these that remind us Heartbox is about so much more than what’s inside the box.

It’s about connection.

To Scotland.
To heritage.
To tradition.

And to a community of people who love this country as much as we do.
