Some of my favourite moments in the studio are when someone looks at the finished piece in their hand and says...

"I made that!"

That's exactly what these Summer Holiday Workshops are all about.

Whether it's a personalised keyring, a sterling silver ring or a sea glass pendant, every child will make something completely unique that they can wear or give as a gift.

No experience is needed—just a willingness to have a go.

I keep classes small so everyone gets plenty of support, and all materials are included.

If you know a creative child who loves making things, I'd love to see them in the studio this summer.

Its been a little bit of a sad day today if Im honest.

We got our second (in 2 yrs tbf) less than good review.

Apparently our wrap ring workshop is only worth 3 stars and isn't value for money.

I feel that we need to meet this head on, politely.

People leave our wrap ring workshop with a ring which had I made and they bought would have cost £35. Each attendee spends 2 hours in our workshop using our tools, my time and has access to unlimited drinks and snacks for only £45. That's £10 to turn your ring into a full on experience with snacky snacks. It's extremely good value, in my opinion.

I'm deeply saddened by the feed back that says that this event is not good value for money.

We shall be thinking about this going forward but not letting negative people bring us down.

Filing is one of the core skills in traditional silversmithing.

After sawing, soldering or shaping silver, filing removes rough edges and refines the shape.

It’s a slow, precise process, learning how to use the file is an important part of learning traditional silversmithing.

Wow, you lot are really rather amazing.

After a long, but rather brilliant day fundraising for Cancer Research UK we have used our abacus, fingers and toes and reckon that we have made the £500 target we were aiming for. And there are some more donations yet to be counted.

Major thanks to Vicki Caplin for providing free pamper sessions to our lovely guests and also donating a percentage for each of her sales both at the event and online today.

Massive thanks to Be Kreative Photography Keith for organising photo shoots all day to raise the pennies.

Huge thanks to Pod Kitchen for hosting a collecting tin, and also to Discover Lady Heyes for popping one on reception too. These are yet to be added into the total.

Thank you to Mr HVS for blowing up lots of balloons, putting up the bunting and taking it back down again, lugging the gazebo around, making lots of cups of tea, hoovering in preparation for our guests and generally being brilliant. No thanks at all for studio dog, he was a barky little pest for most of the day! But did steal some snuggles!

But most of all thank you to the amazing people who booked on to the workshop, turned up, had fun, bought extra bits, popped some money in our collection tin and most importantly made some very lovely rings, you are truly wonderful. I know that some of you had very very personal reasons for being there and we all really appreciate your support. Love to you all.

Absolutely beautiful eucalyptus from Flowers by Jenny Penny today.

Amazing quality plant, local business, and cheaper than the one I got from a national chain the other day. What more can you ask for?

Oh, and actually, you can ask for more. It was gift wrapped and came with a murder mystery book!
