It's one more week until The Book Market 2026 and we can hardly wait! 🥳

Our sprawling Book Market down on Exeter Quay features a dozen of Devon's incredible independent bookshops, brilliant bookish vendors, and an exciting mix of free literary activities & author talks!

Two weeks to go to Exeter Pride! 🏳️‍🌈

We’re looking forward to having not one, but two stalls at Exeter Pride this year!

We’ll be at Northernhay Gardens for the whole day, and popping up at Exeter Library in the afternoon as part of the book related activities in the Literature Lounge.

There are so many wonderful bookish events happening at Pride this year, including a q***r writing workshop so make sure to come along!

We’re looking forward to a packed few months of events and markets. Kicking things off with Exeter Pride in May, Exeter Unesco City of Literature Book Market, a pop-up in Lucy and Yak Exeter and joining Exmouth Pride.

A group of lovely local creatives are working to bring a new q***r bookish space to Exeter! 📚 🌈

Amongst the group are Exeter Pride, Lavender Menace Books, Betwixt Therapy, and Out There Together — they all share a love of books, and want to create a safe space to explore all things literary, where the people of Exeter and Devon can grow as readers and creatives.
