With a background in holistic therapies, Joanne brings the same care, attention to detail, and passion for wellbeing into every item she creates. From hand-poured wax melts to soothing home fragrances, each product is designed to bring comfort, calm, and a little joy into your everyday life. In 2019, the Cubbyhole relocated from Warwickshire to Lancashire, where it continues to thrive as a family-run operation. Behind the scenes, Joanne leads on product design and creation, whilst behind the scenes, her husband Charles manages logistics, deliveries, and those all-important Post Office runs. Their loyal dog Cassie completes the team as the Head of Security and friendly delivery companion. And here she is… the fourth and final fragrance from Changing Seasons.

Crisp & Comforting

A quiet September wander down a country lane…

The trees are still green, fruits are ripening and there's still a little warmth from the summer sun, but autumn is quietly beginning to make itself known. 🍂

Fresh green leaves and citrus open the fragrance, followed by sweet fig, soft coconut, violet and cedarwood.

Underneath, oakmoss, tonka and amber add a gentle warmth and cosiness.

Fresh and green, gently woody with a subtle sweetness, it's that beautiful little moment between two seasons captured in a fragrance.

We will be open for our PYO sunflower & wildflower event!

Things to note:

🕰️ Open 10am-4pm
🌻 Beautiful blooms of sunflowers & wildflowers
📷 Loads of fantastic photo opportunities
✂️ Secateurs available to purchase but please try to bring your own
🫙 Glass jars will be available for your wildflowers
🤎 Brown sleeves will be available to purchase if you are wanting your flowers to be a gift for someone
👣 Easy access paths into the field
🚗 Car parking on site
💴 Cash and card accepted
🚾 Portaloo on site
🎟️ No booking or tickets needed, just turn up
☕️A variety of stalls will be here at weekends only!!!
💰 Entry to the patch is £1 per person (under 18 months are free)
🌺 Sunflowers are £1 per stem or 6 stems for £5. The wildflowers will be - fill a glass jar for a fiver!!!! 🙌🙌🙌
🐶 After some deliberation, we will be allowing dogs into the patch again this year BUT please ensure they are on a lead at all times and any mess is cleaned up!

And this one is for anyone who loves that feeling of being amongst the trees. 💚

TREETOPS
Warm & Tranquil

Picture yourself looking up through the canopy as soft, golden light filters between the leaves.

The air is fresh, everything feels still, and for a few minutes there's nowhere else you need to be.

Treetops begins with fresh bergamot and thyme before soft jasmine meets warm cedarwood at its heart.

Then comes the gorgeous bit…

Patchouli, cocoa, amber and tonka bean bring a gentle warmth underneath, creating a fragrance that's green and woody, softly floral and beautifully comforting.

For me, this is dappled light, tall trees and a quiet moment beneath the canopy. 🌲

Treetops joins Hedgerow and Turning Leaves in the new Changing Seasons Collection, launching Monday.

One more fragrance to meet tomorrow…

And we're taking a wander down Orchard Lane. 🌿

Fragrance number two from Changing Seasons…

TURNING LEAVES
Fresh & Grounding

You know that first morning when you step outside and the air just feels… different?

Still pleasant. Still green. But fresher.

And then you spot it....the first few leaves beginning to change. 🍃🍂

That's the feeling behind Turning Leaves.

Fresh eucalyptus and gentle spices lead into warming clove, soft magnolia and nutmeg, before settling onto an earthy base of cedarwood, musk and mosses.

There's warmth, but this isn't a heavy autumn fragrance.

It's fresh, woody and grounding, with just enough gentle spice to hint at the cosier days ahead.

Turning Leaves launches Monday as part of Changing Seasons Collection.

And tomorrow we're heading a little deeper beneath the trees… 🌲🤎

The first fragrance from Changing Seasons is here…

HEDGEROW
Rich & Restful

Imagine a late-summer walk along a country hedgerow…

Dark berries are ripening, the last flowers of summer are still holding on and underneath it all is that earthy, woody scent that tells you the seasons are beginning to change. 🤎

Hedgerow opens with juicy blackcurrant and fig, brightened with a little lemon and bergamot.

At its heart are soft notes of rose, geranium and tuberose, before settling into oakmoss, sandalwood, musk and warm amber.

Fruity, floral and gently earthy, but not overly sweet.

To me, this one smells like September beginning to arrive. 🍂

Hedgerow launches Monday 24th August as part of the new Changing Seasons Collection.

Tomorrow… the leaves are beginning to turn. 👀🍂
