A Guided Tour of the Unacceptable is a geographical and historical tour of the UK’s nuclear
weapons on the Clyde and resistance to them, with archive footage from the sixties sit-downs, to canoes buzzing Trident, mass blockades, and 21st Century XR protesters. It is edited by Ruth Barrie (Waltzer Films), with a stunning musical score from including Rachel Sermanni, Karine Polwart, Ross Ainsle, Ryan Young and Ewan Mackenzie. See some of Scotland’s most strikingly beautiful scenery, and the militarised infrastructure imposed on it. Comments from MSPs campaigners and Peace Campers.
Approaching a general election on 4th July, Nuclear Weapons are a red line election issue, and our next Scottish-based MPs must represent that view. That is why all candidates must agree to sign the ICAN Parliamentary Pledge for the TPNW, so the film has been made available as a resource, free, on line until the election. Nuclear weapons are the most inhumane and indiscriminate weapons ever created. Scotland is the launchpad and the bomb store for all of the UK’s nuclear weapons. When the United Nations adopted a Treaty to Prohibit all Nuclear Weapons (TPNW). Scotland could not sign it, but 44 out of the 57 Scottish MPs at the last Westminster Parliament signed the International pledge to support it, and candidates standing for election in Scotland on 4 July must be asked to do the same. To see the film before the election go to www.nuclearban.scot for the link and password
Watch the trailer, join SCND and share its heartfelt message from Scotland, that we should be able to choose to be a nuclear free country.
Please get in touch if you’d like to host a community screening.

All candidates in this election should be asked whether they will, if elected, sign the ICAN Parliamentary Pledge in support of the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons. At the moment 44 out of 57 MPs have signed – let’s keep ensuring that Scotland’s opposition to nuclear weapons is not watered down.
This is a red line issue for progressing nuclear disarmament, for in Scotland at least, we will have the choice of a candidate who is unambiguous about the route to nuclear weapons elimination. This Treaty is the only disarmament treaty that includes the disproportionate impact of war on women, and the need to provide remediation for environmental damage.

Hi,

It has been some time since you may have heard from us. We were looking to restart the Yes Hub in a new location and we were looking to take a lease for a shop on Dalry Road back in November. Unfortunately, that place was not financially viable so we backed out.
Consequently, we have decided to go virtual and just organise events and meetings in person and online and go from there. This email is to announce the first of these meetings which is an in person event:
