Engraved Glass Design

Engraved Glass Design Hand engraved glassware created in Scotland. Personalised designs shaped by place, tradition and considered craftsmanship. We engrave glass. That’s it.

Nothing else. No distractions. No fooling ourselves that we can be great at everything. No attempt to conquer the whole world. We just do our best to conquer our bit of it. So each day Helena comes in and creates the best designs she knows how. Then John, our engraver and master craftsman does the rest. There is a great deal of satisfaction creating something of such superior quality that you know

each glass will be beautiful, practical and meaningful. It makes the hard work and the obsessing over each and every detail worth all the effort. That’s our reward. That’s why we stick to just engraving glass.

The gifts people remember rarely begin with the object itself.

More often, they begin with a place, a shared interest, a family story or a significant milestone.

We've published a new article exploring why some gifts continue to hold meaning long after the occasion has passed, and how many of our commissions begin with stories rather than glassware.

An exploration of why the most memorable gifts are often connected to shared interests, meaningful places, family stories and personal milestones.

Forty Years. Seven Signatures. Two Glasses.

Created for a ruby wedding anniversary, these cocktail coupes were engraved with the signatures of the couple's children alongside a bespoke D&A 40 Years monogram prepared in the studio.

Each signature was supplied individually and arranged around the bowl of the glass, preserving handwriting that spans generations and creating a lasting record of the family behind the celebration.

Hand-prepared, sandblasted and engraved in our Fife studio.

A recently completed presentation commission prepared for Cheltenham Chamber of Commerce.

This shallow presentation bowl was engraved with a circular arrangement combining the Chamber logo and commemorative wording for the outgoing CEO, Michael Ratcliffe MBE.

The wide, low profile of the bowl allowed the inscription to flow naturally around the rim, creating a balanced presentation layout suited to formal recognition pieces.

Prepared, engraved and dispatched from our Fife studio following final approval.

Our Celtic Collections bring together the Scottish Luckenbooth, the Welsh Lovespoon and the Irish Claddagh, each prepared for engraving and translated into glass with a quiet, considered approach.
