I haven’t shared my students’ work — or my own — for a little while, as life has been a bit full lately. Like so many of us, balancing family, work, and everyday life can sometimes leave little time to pause and appreciate the beautiful moments in between.
But these pieces deserved to be shared.
Here are some creations from my Thursday and Friday groups, and honestly, I couldn’t be prouder. Every single piece tells its own story and carries the personality, creativity, and heart of the person who made it. No two are ever the same, and that’s what makes them so special.
One of the loveliest parts of teaching pottery is watching confidence grow with every session — seeing people surprise themselves with what they can create and the joy that comes from making something completely unique with their own hands.
In a world that moves so quickly, there’s something really meaningful about slowing down and creating.
These pieces are more than pottery to me — they’re little reminders of creativity, resilience, and individuality. And while you probably can’t buy art quite like this… maybe some of the makers could be persuaded 😉
