Can’t wait until Sunday, we’ll be attending the Carsington Makers Market for the very first time! 🎉

We’ll be bringing a selection of our handcrafted book-inspired creations, including Bookettes, Blooming Chapters, Chapters of Light and a few new surprises too. 📚🌸✨

✨Exciting News from Bookadelia!✨

Bookadelia is absolutely delighted to be taking its very first steps into a retail space, and I couldn’t think of a more perfect place to begin this new chapter than with the wonderful Jo and the team at Willow Blossom, Wirksworth 🥰

From the weekend beginning 27th June, a selection of Bookadelia creations will be available to browse, admire and (hopefully! 🙈) take home.

What started as a creative outlet during difficult times has grown into something I never imagined possible, and I honestly couldn’t have reached this point without the incredible support, encouragement, shares, likes, comments, purchases and belief from so many wonderful people. Thank you. ❤️

Bookadelia simply cannot wait to begin this exciting new partnership with Jo. Have you visited Willow Blossom yet? If not, you really must!

The shop has one of the loveliest atmospheres in town — relaxed, welcoming, inclusive and full of beautiful treasures.… it also happens to serve some of the best drinks and Blooming Cakes around! 🌸☕🍰

There will be a whole new collection of Blooming Chapters on display, alongside some familiar Bookadelia favourites.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a sudden urge to master creating Willow Blossom from pre-loved book pages… because at Bookadelia, every flower has a story. 📖🌸✨

After work today I claimed these preloved beauties 😳🙈🥰👠and in Meema Bookadelia’s head a crazy quirky creative recycling plan began to hatch…does anyone have any ideas what happens next? Answers on a postcard or maybe in the comments Jazzy Barry, Bella Maslauskas, Zoe Nic, you are not allowed to comment on this post as obviously I became extremely excited about this creation & had to share with you 😳🙈🥰😂

Lots of exciting bookings/commissions are starting to bloom behind the scenes at Bookadelia… 🌸📚✨

🌼 More petals to shape
🌼 More butterflies to flutter into place
🌼 And plenty more book pages being given a brand-new chapter!

It’s a good job I love making flowers… because it looks like I’m going to need rather a lot of them! 🙈😂

📖🌿 National Trust Collection – Chapter 3 🌿📖

After much folding, fiddling, playing around and more than a little creative head-scratching 🙈😂, Chapter 3 of Bookadelia's National Trust Collection is finally complete!

Created from a pre-loved National Trust handbook, this piece has evolved through several different ideas before finding its final chapter. Sometimes creativity is about adding things... and sometimes it's about knowing when to take them away. 💚

Featuring hand-folded pages, paper flowers and a touch of Bookadelia button magic, Chapter 3 celebrates the beauty of giving old treasures a new story.

As always, every piece is lovingly handcrafted using pre-loved materials wherever possible, staying true to Bookadelia's ethos of:

🦋✨ Behind the scenes at Bookadelia… ✨🦋

So…I finished work today fully intending to complete Chapter 3 of our National Trust Collection…but…

You know me… one idea rarely stays as just one idea! 🙈😂

So I’ve been experimenting with something a little different…

Did anyone else have a Grandma, Mum or Auntie with a mysterious tin full of buttons? 🤔

I could happily spend hours tipping them out, sorting them by colour, size and shape, imagining where they’d come from and what stories they could tell.

Perhaps that’s why my latest Chapter of Light is now becoming Buttons & Butterflies… 🦋🔘📚

Because every button tells a story.

Combining pre-loved books, beautiful butterflies and a colourful collection of buttons gathered over many years, this new creation is beginning to take shape.
