Whisper Handmade Crochet My name is Sharon. I live in Chesterfield with my husband and adult children, and the cat of course, making gorgeous items from yarn and hooks.

I have been making crochet items for about ten years and love everything about it. Yarn shopping and searching for new designs are so addictive. I rarely make the same item more than once so you can be sure your item is unique. I love a challenge and will have a go at almost anything crochet, except stuffed toys. Isnt this pretty? This one of the yarn cakes I bought on Saturday from The Wool Monty - think working with 4 strands of sewing cotton and you're about there 😆 but its gorgeous and I love these cakes so much ❤️ At £19 each they are a bit pricey but so worth it for 1000m of wondrous colour 🥰

Positives today - the pattern I released yesterday is getting some love. Did think it would sink into oblivion (damn that sh*t self esteem!!!) but it has hearts and positive comments - yay me!!!!

Negatives - there is a huge negative (for now it will remain private) which will require some restructuring of my outlet sales. But from challenges and change come new opportunities - I hope anyway 😊

First project with my new yarn - this pink is so vibrant!!!

It's interesting how I love to knit and crochet and do it all the time but new yarn has a sense of excitement to it that means I will immediately search for a pattern and start work. I have abandoned 3 WIPs just to start this one.

Tomorrows admin job will be to prioritise older projects to get them finished. This new one can be a "take to groups" project.

I must control my inner squirrel 🤣 and be a bit more focussed

Its Knit In Public Day today so, of course, I'm at The Wool Monty at Magna.

Too much choice - the whole venue is a sea of yarny goodies - but I have a strict budget. Time for lunch while I have a think about what to buy 😊

I saw something similar in a shop and decided to have a go at it myself. The shop item plus a similar pattern combined to create this.
