I like to keep my page fun but today Iv at to say how I feel .

What does ā€œcommunityā€ mean to you?

To me, itā€™s about supporting one another, encouraging local businesses, and helping our high street survive.

What I donā€™t understand is how some people can complain about empty shops, say itā€™s a shame that businesses are closing, yet at the same time publicly criticise and try to damage local businesses. You canā€™t have it both ways.

Iā€™m incredibly grateful to have my cards stocked in a local high street shop, so it genuinely frustrates me when I see people trying to push businesses towards closure. Behind every shop is a person, a family, and a lot of hard work.

Of course, not every business will be perfect, but thereā€™s a difference between constructive feedback and public bullying.

Iā€™ve always tried to support local businesses wherever I can because a thriving high street benefits everyone. Maybe itā€™s time some people remembered that before tearing others down.

Supporting local costs nothing. Kindness costs nothing. Community should mean lifting each other up, not knocking each other down.

In the long run, communities are strengthened far more by those who encourage others than by those who spend their time tearing people down. . . .
