A recent article in the reminded us about the need to revisit the plastic free movement. The movement took flight around 2018, but when covid hit, priorities shifted, and plastic seemed to make a resurgence. In fact plastic consumption has increased since 2017 💔💔💔

The Guardian recently shared a piece suggesting 33 swaps for the kitchen.

On Sunday, I tried to save my malfunctioning blender! For some time my blender would give off a burning smell whenever it was in use. So, I took it to Sparks because I heard they have a weekly repair cafe, to see if it could be saved.

Every Sunday, there is a brilliant initiative run by No Small Thing at in the city centre aptly named The Repair Cafe.

The cafe is run by volunteers who are all super friendly. Mike, who tried to save my , thoroughly explained the issue my blender faced.

Unfortunately, my blender wasn't reparable. The way ninja design their blenders make it really difficult to impossible to access the motor, the part that needed fixing.

Which made me reflect: common gadgets should follow a universal design that meant repairing them would be easier. But I guess that's the whole point: keep consumers buying🤷‍♀️

is a massive space, full of great independent shops that you can browse while you're there

In a world where you can be anything BE KIND.

There's nothing much to say right now that won't lead us to feel rage at the world. So, I suggest we be kind to the people around us and hope better days are coming 🙏🙏

It's sad the world is run by old angry entitled egocentric MEN killing other people's children.

But let's hope that the solutions we already have created: renewable energy for self-sufficiency, philanthropy from good people, (philanthropic millionaires) diplomacy, and MORALITY will find its place in the world order, and these evil time will be behind us.

So let's all be kind to each other ❤️
