A post we wish we did not have to write, but one we must. During the early hours of Sunday 5th April Card Catcher Shop was unfortunately broken into. Damage has been done to the property and shop goods have been stolen. Thankfully the thieves were restricted to one area of the store and were only able to take accessories and bulk. We want to make clear, all customer collections currently being priced up as well as cards submitted for grading were untouched and could not be accessed during the break in. They are kept in an extremely secure area of the store, behind additional security.
Customer property protection has always been at the forefront of our design, and I'm pleased to say it has held firm. Regardless of this fact, we will be moving collections and cards waiting for submission away from the premises until we reopen as planned on Tuesday. Please bare with us during this time as we piece back together and repair what has been done, so certain services may be a little delayed.
We want to thank Avon and Somerset Police for their quick response, missing the thieves by mere minutes (An incredible response time). We will be working closely with them to find the thieves and ensure that crime doesn’t pay.
To aid the police we will not be sharing images, video, or audio of the suspects unless directed by the police to do so, and we have been assured that they will be even more vigilant if the alarm sounds again.
We also want to thank our regular collectors and players for always supporting us. We do all of this for you, and wish to continue doing so well into the future. With that said, if anyone has any possible information or leads about the break in, please do feel free to reach out to us here or if you wish to stay anonymous, via a letter through our letter box. You can also contact the police directly too, the Crime Reference Number is as follows: 5226092681.
Again, thank you to everyone who has supported us, we hope to see you soon.
