A snapshot of summer. As I take a mid-season rest (and listen to the rain!!) I am reflecting on my busiest summer yet. Full of gorgeous weddings, bouquets for special moments and LOTS OF FLOWERS.

What does it mean to work with a seasonal flower grower and florist?

I only use my own Peak District-grown or British-sourced flowers from farmers I trust. No pesticides. No air miles. Just flowers grown and cut with care.

What does this mean for you?

Next week I will be taking a small mid-season break. A trip to the seaside and my plan is to ‘take the waters’ to refresh and regroup after a busy summer (basically if you see a woman floating like a starfish out to see in North Devon it’s probably me).

I will be sowing many of next year’s flowers over the coming days preparing for 2027 weddings! Lots of planning to make sure my plot is at its best and I can grow even more stems for you lovely people. If you’re getting married in 2027 in Derbyshire, the Peak District or Sheffield and you’re looking for a wedding florist using locally grown, seasonal flowers then now is a great time to book in!

My fave flowers from my cut this morning. The dahlias are really a late August & September flower but they’re slowly coming and some varieties are putting out lots of stems. If you can tell me what the third variety is I would be grateful as OBVIOUSLY I haven’t labeled anything correctly 🙃🫠
