Today I’ll be announcing the lucky winner of the Evesham Festival prize draw, so keep an eye out! 👀

I have a total of 21 entries, so the odds are pretty good, especially for the double and triple entries. For a fun fact each entry is apparently 6,658,007 times more likely to win this prize draw than to win the EuroMillions jackpot 🥳

What an incredible weekend for our very first market appearance, and what a way to kick things off! A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by the Noble Seals stall, had a chat, bought a seal, or simply admired the historical goodies. Your support means the world 🕯️📜

🦅 Holy Roman Empire Wax Seal – The Legacy of Empire

The Holy Roman Empire, founded with the coronation of Karolus Magnus (Charlemagne) in 800 AD, stood for over a millennium as the continuation of imperial authority in Western Christendom after the fall of ancient Rome. At its height, the empire was ruled by powerful dynasties such as the Ottonians, Salians, Hohenstaufens, and Habsburgs, with emperors elected by prince-electors and often crowned in Rome.

The symbol of this imperial order was the double-headed eagle, a heraldic emblem revived from Byzantine tradition. With one head looking east and the other west, it represented both the spiritual and temporal authority of the Emperor, and the enduring legacy of Rome. The eagle adorned seals, banners, and coins — the unmistakable mark of imperial power.

This wax seal recreates the imperial Reichsadler as it appeared from the late medieval period into the early modern era — perfect for historical correspondence, re-enactment, or as a striking collector’s piece.
