If you've been invited to a barbecue, garden party or summer gathering, do you arrive with a gift?

Personally, I think a beautifully presented little something goes a long way. It doesn't have to be expensive... a bottle of wine, some homemade treats or a thoughtful keepsake can make a lovely gesture.

Is it just me, or does summer have a habit of sneaking up on us?

One minute you're putting the heating on, the next you're being invited to weddings, garden parties, birthday barbecues and "just a little gathering" that somehow requires a gift.....
...And then comes the wrapping.

Cue the hunt for scissors, the sticky tape that has mysteriously vanished and the wrapping paper that now resembles an accordion.

As a professional gift wrapper, I notice wrapping everywhere.

Beautiful ribbon on a shop display? I notice it.

Luxury packaging on a delivery? I notice it.

A gift wrapped so perfectly that I spend longer admiring the wrapping than the present itself? Definitely notice it.

The truth is that presentation matters. It creates excitement, anticipation and that lovely feeling of being valued before the gift has even been opened.
