Something we hear alot is "i wont feed my dog that, it smells"
And Yes, natural dog treats can smellβ¦ and not always pleasant to us ππΆ
But remember β a few minutes of a bad smell for us can mean pure happiness and enjoyment for our dogs.
Natural treats come with so many benefits:
𦴠Less processed ingredients
𦴠No unnecessary additives or artificial preservatives
𦴠Great for dental health
𦴠Packed with natural nutrients
𦴠Mental stimulation through chewing
𦴠A healthier and more natural reward for your pup
If youβre not a fan of stronger smells, some gentler natural treats include:
β¨ Rabbit ears
β¨ Chicken feet
β¨ Beef skin rolls
β¨ Hairy rabbit treats
β¨ Puffed treats
And yesβ¦ then there are the REALLY smelly favourites π€£
π Sprats
π Cow ears
π Bully sticks
π Lamb treats
π Fish skins
The funny thing is β the smellier they are, the more dogs usually LOVE them!
Plus, many natural treats are fully biodegradable and even good for the garden and compost compared to heavily processed alternatives.
Sometimes the stink is just part of giving our dogs something natural, enriching, and genuinely enjoyable β€οΈπΎ
For our dogs i'm sure we can withstand a bit of bad smell π€ and this comes from someone super nose sensitive!
