Today we welcomed GRAIN & GLORY as a Member of Midtown Makers 🥳

Richard was with us last year as part of the Retail Ready Programme when he got to test out his woodwork products in a retail environment for the first time. Richard and his wife Julie have worked hard and grown the business, regularly selling at craft fairs, now stocking in 5 shops across the country as well as developing and improving their skills and products.

It is fantastic to see small local makers doing well. And now they have a shelf unit here in Midtown Makers filled with chopping boards, coasters, door wedges and more, all made in Richard's workshop in the Ballymena area.

​Hand dyed Margilan silk to your colour choice, also learn the shibori tying technique.​All materials and equipment supplied, please bring two small towels and a packed lunch.
This workshop is suitable for beginners and more experienced felters.

Come and work with beautiful handdyed silk and fine merino wool to create your own unique summer scarf.
Shelley will show you how to lay your wool roving to shape your scarf and you’ll learn a shibori tying technique to add decorative interest.
