THE JUMPER WAS JUST CLOTHING… UNTIL IT BECAME SOMETHING HE COULD HOLD ONTO. 🤍

When a son contacted me, he had a very special request.

He wanted a memory bear made from his mum’s clothing — a fleece and a much-loved jumper that had belonged to her. ❤️

After losing someone you love, their clothes can become incredibly precious. You might not be ready to part with them… but you also don’t want them sitting forgotten in a wardrobe.

So instead, I carefully turned these two pieces of clothing into a keepsake he could actually hold, cuddle and treasure.

Every little detail was chosen with care, giving those familiar fabrics a new purpose while keeping the memories of his mum close. 🧸🤍

That’s what I love most about making memory bears.

I’m not just making a bear.

I’m making something that holds a story.

Baby Clothes → Beautiful Keepsake 🤍

Did you know that one of my standard memory bears contains 23 individual pattern pieces? 🧸✨

So, if you’re thinking about having a precious baby keepsake bear made, I’d recommend around 8–9 baby outfits. If you’re using mostly 0–3 month clothing, it’s always worth popping a few extra pieces in, just in case some of the pattern pieces are larger than expected.

And your keepsake doesn’t have to be made from outfits alone! 🤍

But did you notice… this one is a little different? 👀

This handsome chap is made in a fixed sitting pose, so unlike my traditional bears, he doesn’t have movable joints. But that certainly doesn’t make him any less special! 😍

I absolutely love how this style shows off the Guinness clothing and creates a lovely, characterful keepsake that can be treasured forever.
