Notes from the early 90’s and last week.

The night I met Leigh Bowery on ITV Late and Live, I was invited along by my tutor the orange suited Paul Gough. Minty played live and Leigh birthed a grown woman out of his skirts as he was inclined to do. It was an epic full on visual/audio riot which struck all my chords. The local West Country “that’s not art” audience had a thing or two to say about it. An iconic moment.

Today will mostly be uploading a load of new photos, dreaming of being in my wee painting studio, planning what needs doing in the garden, singing loudly and badly & laughing at the Tories.

Oh and the picture is of the ISLA leather phone crossbody, fits yer mobile, keys and small wallet. Even a packet of painkillers and some poo bags 🐕.
This one is very dark green/brown of which I only have limited quantities of. 🙌

Super proud of the boy child, wish he would realise how talented he is, yes I’m biased.

Seems he’s got a good business mindset which I’m sure will stand him in good stead.

He’s off to UWE to do fine art, like his older sister and where me and his father met.

Having kids - my first ever relations - go on and do the same path as the one I took fills me with so much pride and allows me to finally have a hint of what a family heritage means.

Current painting situation. WIP

Harry is blasting out, me and the studio dog have had a dance, coffee is brewed, suns out and I’m feeling good about snapping some images of mini ISLA. I might even allow myself some time in the painting studio later. This isn’t usually how Mondays work !
