Oh Watch the Moon! Tonight marks the first full moon of the year.

January's full moon is often called the cold moon (definitely feeling that today), the quiet moon or the wolf moon, depending on the cultural background. All these names make reference to the quiet restful time that marks the winter days.

We watched the moon rise tonight over snowy fields while listening to this beautiful song by ! We were lucky to hear them play it live just before Christmas. What a perfect way to spend the evening x

Definitely feeling like the last days of summer and that autumns glorious bounty is drawing closer!

The Hawthorn isn't the only blossom looking spectacular at the moment. The apple trees are covered in blooms and buzzing with life. Definitely feels like the wassailing in January is paying off.

It's the 1st of May and the hawthorn is starting to blossom! The other common name for hawthorn is May blossom, due to the fact that it's bursts into blossom in May. Unlike many trees and shrubs hawthorn produces leaf before blossom to give the plant enough energy for the blooms.

We had a lovely sunny walk this weekend looking for twigs and identifying trees. Rose loves time spent outside and learning new things, this is the calmest both of us have been in weeks. We need more of this in our life, it's easy to forget how the simple things can be the best things x

*The sunflower lanyard has helped a lot for us when people try and talk to rose when we are out. If she feels safe and knows she can chat to them about her interests she's fine. If not she's on the ground and sobbing.

if you are struggling I see you and I'm here.

I'm not doing so good either tbh. That's really hard to say. It's hard to say to people I know, let alone online. It has nothing to do with the day of the year, it's life and health and it's hit the point I'm not coping anymore.

But no matter what life throws at me time crafting and in nature I always find healing. I hope you have those things in your life too. You aren't alone. If you need to talk I'm here xx

You guys really liked my windows! Gutted I couldn't keep it up all year due to my health.

But I'm hoping to be more present for 2024. I can promise lots more adventures and tutorials. And hopefully a lot of fun along the way.

Wishing you a peaceful 2024 ###

Happy Christmas from me and Rose ###

Thank you to all of you for your support and orders this year. And to my incredible family for their unending help. Especially getting the last orders out last weekend when I had an unplanned trip to the hospital.

I have been laid up with a horrible strain of COVID and mostly sleeping the last week (On the plus side not meningitis as initially thought!). But one of the few bits of Christmas prep we have been able to do is fold some window stars together. Rose decided they were solstice stars. Half for the lessening darkness, half for the returning light.

Thank you to for her inspiration for the big stars, for the tutorial blog post and lovely customers for their inspiration for paper folding.
