This is our lovely dog, Chester.

We adopted Chester from a rescue centre three years ago when he was just one year old, and he has been a much-loved member of our family ever since.

Last week, he saw a specialist about an issue with his paw, and we received some devastating news. At some point in his life, Chester suffered from an infection that has gradually destroyed the bones in his paws. The specialist believes he must have been in significant pain for a long time. Being the brave Staffie he is, he simply carried on and never showed us just how much he was hurting.

Thankfully, his pain is now being managed, but we have a long road ahead. We have already used the full amount of our insurance cover on the diagnostic tests, and the current recommendation is for Chester to have all of his toes removed to give him the best possible quality of life going forward.
We will be using our own savings first, but the cost of his treatment is significant. If anyone is able to help in any way, no matter how small, we would be incredibly grateful. I never imagined I would be asking for help like this, but I will do whatever I can for our beautiful boy.
