🇫🇷 Quel est le plus ancien projet de tricot abandonné que vous avez?
Tricoter les manches !
Un projet de tricot commencé en 2019, mais abandonné.
Je suis tellement contente d'avoir décidé de le reprendre.
Juste quelques centimètres sur une manche, un petit revers sur chaque manche, et ce sera terminé !

Knitting the sleeves!
A knitting project started in 2019, but abandoned.
I am so happy that I decided to carry on with it again.
Just a few inches on one sleeve, a little cuff on each sleeve, and it will be finished!

Have you made any new resolutions for
World Earth Day?
My personal resolution is at the end of the post if you happen to be interested.

Recently, as I finish setting up my new hand-dyed yarn business, my mind has been occupied with what changes I can make to the environmental impact my business inevitably has… IT WONT BE PERFECT! BUT…

I’m thinking about:
🧶Not selling wool blends that use nylon (!)
🐑 Eventually spinning my own blends from local French sheep
🌈 My next dye purchase from an even more eco-conscious supplier
💦 🌸 Getting the water I use in my dyeing process at an even lower level than now AND collecting the clear water left at the end of each day to water the garden shrubs and flowers
🎁Using the most environmentally sensitive packaging I can afford
⛽️Fewer trips to the post office to save fuel

But today, I’ve made a promise to myself that I will use every single bit of my personal leftover yarn stash to create something that will be used for a very long time, hopefully kept by family or friends after I’ve finished with it and won’t therefore end up in landfill forever.
😊 I feel a hexagon, join as you go, crochet blanket coming on to my hook!

Fabulous socks!

All hand knitted socks by local yarn ninja Chris Smith now available in our shop. Just 10 pairs available at just £20 a pair.

She has a range called “scrappy socks” using all the left overs.
