Last week, I made a visit to Peter Crawford’s place in North Fife. Peter is so passionate about Champagne that he has planted an apple orchard, alongside some ancient trees and remodeled his family’s estate as if it were a Champagne Estate. Bringing together his wife’s and his family’s heritage, Peter is making apple cider using The Champagne Method. So lovely to see some early honey bees buzzing about in the early apple blossom 🐝 🌸🥂

I studied for Cert. Horticulture, a million years ago, This knowledge and understanding, took me to South Africa, then to study wine. However, my interest in plants has bubbled-up, again and taken me towards learning beekeeping with This wknd, I did a half day course, with complete with something that I am extremely familiar with, an online tasting. However, this time, it was not wine that I was tasting, but honey. So interesting to learn about all of this through the prism of plants relationships with insects - something that we - and the birds need more of. ✌🏼🐝🍯😋
