We present our good practice manual designed to use as a tool for in cultural institutions and museums.
It includes examples and best practices to encourage participation, community empowerment and social enterprise in the project's partner countries.

We hope that the manual will not only be useful for the professionals, but will also help to raise awareness of the power of the arts for social inclusion.

Remembering the first day of the ‘Art and inclusion through ceramics’ conference, organized by Asociación Espacio Rojo , the coordinator of the .

On that day, attendees were able to enjoy the presentation of the CECRA project, the history of the Escuela de Cerámica de la Moncloa by Lucía Bosch, its director and professor, and an amazing guided tour of the school facilities.

Still with emotional hangover of what have been the days 'Art and social inclusion through ceramics', and the opening of the international exhibition 'Horizons of clay', we share with you some images of these last days in the Escuela de Cerámica de la Moncloa .

We want to thank each and every one of the people who have accompanied us with your presence and affection towards ceramics, inclusion and art.

We would also like to thank all the speakers who were able to share their experiences, projects, pieces, works and concerns with all of us, and to Escuela de Cerámica de la Moncloa, for their welcome and tireless work.

Toshiko Takaezu, a Japanese-American ceramic artist born in 1922 in Hawaii, forged a profound connection with clay throughout her career. Her work, characterized by organic forms and minimalist aesthetics, reflected her belief in the spiritual nature of the medium.

She saw clay as a living entity, advocating for humility and openness in its interpretation. Renowned for her "closed bowls," she pushed the boundaries of traditional pottery, inviting viewers to contemplate the interplay between form and function. As a teacher, Takaezu inspired countless students with her holistic approach to art-making, leaving a lasting legacy in the world of ceramics.

The artistic workshops organized by the partner Insieme per Camminare in collaboration with Ceramiche Parrilla dal 1832 of Cropalati and with the lead of the master ceramist Caterina Greco, exhibit their art pieces in a at the Museo Diocesano e del Codex

🗓️ From 09/04 to 14/04/2024

The exhibition displays a careful selection of the objects created during the workshop, offering visitors a window into the different cultures and life stories that are intertwined in the artistic creations. Each piece exhibited testifies to a meeting of cultures, a dialogue between the hands that shape the clay and the stories that those hands tell. A personal journey of expression, learning and overcoming

The training involved asylum seekers and refugees from Afghanistan and Nigeria, guests of the Cidis Onlus organization of Crosia as well as Somali migrants and Argentinian inhabitants of Cropalati who had the opportunity to explore and express their personal stories and dreams through ancient art of ceramics.

Odundo, a celebrated Kenyan-British ceramic artist, is known for her innovative work that draws inspiration from African traditional pottery, as well as ancient Greek and pre-Columbian ceramics. Her sculptural pieces exhibit fluidity and sensuality, exploring themes of identity, memory, and human experience.

Her art invites viewers to engage with the inherent beauty and complexity of form and texture, transcending boundaries and demonstrating the enduring relevance of ceramics as a medium for artistic expression.
