Today's expression is:⁣
⁣
🇬🇧"Make heavy weather of sth" which means⁣
to find it very (often unnecessarily) difficult to do (something) or to find surprising difficulty in doing.⁣
⁣
Ex: She’s making heavy weather of typing that letter.⁣
⁣
🇪🇦 "Make heavy weather of sth" significa hacer algo más complicado de lo que es. Se podría traducir como "complicarse la vida" "hacer algo más difícil de lo que es".⁣
O si atendemos al segundo significado se puede entender como algo que te cuesta mucho trabajo hacer.⁣
⁣
Ex: Ella se está complicando la vida escribiendo esa carta. Lo está haciendo más difícil de lo que realmente es.⁣

🇬🇧 "No pain, no gain" : it is used to say that it is necessary to suffer or work hard in order to succeed or make progress.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Ex: Anne wakes up early in the morning every day to work out. No pain, no gain!⁣⁣
⁣⁣
🇪🇦 " No pain, no gain": se usa para decir que es necesario sufrir o trabajar duro para conseguir tener éxito o progresar.⁣⁣
La traducción sería algo como "sin sacrificio, no hay beneficio" o "el que algo quiere, algo le cuesta".⁣⁣

Ej: Ana se despierta temprano por las mañanas para entrenar. El que algo quieres algo le cuesta.⁣⁣

🇪🇦 " To make matters worse" significa empeorar las cosas. ⁣⁣⁣⁣

Ej: ¡No digas nada! Solo empeorarás las cosas.⁣⁣⁣⁣

También puede ser algo como "para colmo de males" o "para rematar". Como cuando te pasa algo malo, y sucesivamente otra cosa.⁣⁣⁣🙉⁣

🇬🇧 " A blessing in disguise" is something that seems bad or unlucky at first, but results in something good happening later.⁣⁣⁣⁣

Ex: Losing that job was a blessing in disguise really.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
🇪🇦 "A blessing in disguise" se refiere a algo que parece ser malo pero que al final resulta ser bueno.⁣⁣⁣
La traducción literal sería "una bendición disfrazada" expresión que no usaríamos en español pero que viene a decir que es algo bueno disfrazado de algo malo.⁣⁣
Algunos, lo asimilan a la expresión "no hay mal que por bien no venga".⁣⁣

Ej: Perder ese trabajo pareció algo malo, pero al final resultó ser bueno.⁣⁣

Hi everyone! Today’s expression of the day is a fun one! ⁣

Like a bull in a china shop has nothing to do with the country China. In fact, it’s to do with china which is another term for crockery (e.g. cups and plates) 😮⁣

So, imagine a china shop with a lot of delicate items… Now imagine a bull in that shop… An absolute car crash waiting to happen 😂⁣
⁣
If someone is like a bull in a china shop, it essentially means that they are careless/reckless in their actions - how they move or behave.⁣
⁣
