Checked out the new Eskbank Brewing Company in Dalkeith today. It is great to see the old Cross Borders Brewing site at Hardengreen back in use, and it is a brilliant addition to the Midlothian beer scene.

It was lovely to meet Sam and the team. They have only just started out, so they have a few of their very first beers on the pumps to try. 🍺

Just a short walk from Eskbank train station, which is easily accessible by train from Edinburgh. Also dog friendly and food vans. 🐕‍🦺

A fantastic new local independent brewery. Definitely worth a visit! 🍻

🍺 Burton Ale Trail: 4th–7th June 🍺

The countdown is on! The brilliant Burton Ale Trail kicks off this Thursday 4th June, and runs right through until Sunday 7th June.

We are incredibly excited to head down ourselves, and we will be out and about enjoying the trail from Thursday to Saturday. If you see us in any of the 17 fantastic participating venues or Bernie's, do come over and say hello! 👋

🔍 For the eagle-eyed among you, you might have spotted a very familiar logo sitting proudly at the bottom of the official event t-shirts! We are delighted to be partnering up again this year by providing a live feed from Real Ale Finder directly to the BAT app! So you'll be able to see what beers and ciders each pub has available.

Make sure your apps are downloaded and ready to go and we will see you at the bar! 🍻

🍻 A Friendly Reminder to Pubs! 🍻

We love seeing you update your offerings in the Real Ale Finder app! The more up-to-date your listing, the better it is for our users (your customers!) who use the app to decide where to drink or if there's a beer they don't want to miss.

The core purpose of Real Ale Finder is to help drinkers find UK-brewed cask ale, craft keg, and ciders/perries NOT mass produced or foreign.

However, we understand that you serve a vast range of products, some of which we do not support!

E.g., Carling, Guinness, Strongbow, Budvar, Krombacher and similar mass-produced lagers, ciders, and foreign beers. The image shows a sample of products that fall into this category.

In the interest of being fully inclusive and allowing you to list everything you serve, you can add these drinks to the 'Other Products' section of the app, which can be found under TOOLS.

This ensures your listing is complete, but keeps it focused on what the Real Ale Finder app is all about.

If you love pies, you've got to visit The Piebald Inn. They have a menu of 52 different pies! 🥧

We had a lovely meal this evening, though I completely forgot to take a photo of the food before it disappeared. 🤣 It’s great to see them using our app too.🍻

Definitely a spot to check out if you’re ever near Hunmanby!

Change of office, we're staying in Filey for a few days. This afternoon we visited The Wold Top Brewery.

We did the brewery tour and it was excellent. Our guide, Sam, was brilliant, really knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. Great beers and definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area. 🍻
