From my studio to Paris! ✨

Silent Majesty - Carefully packed and ready to travel from my studio in Germany to Paris, where it will be part of the P.A.R.I.S. Art Exhibition.

It’s always a special feeling to let go of a painting and send it out into the world – especially when it gets the opportunity to be shown in such a beautiful setting.

I’m delighted that Silent Majesty will be exhibited in the heart of Paris!

“If you truly love nature, you'll find beauty everywhere.” 🌿

This thought perfectly captures how I find inspiration.

I absolutely love travelling, and my watercolours are always part of the journey. I don't necessarily create finished paintings on the go – mostly, I make little sketches of the things that catch my eye.

Sometimes I only have 7 minutes to capture a moment before we move on. Other times, I sit for an hour, completely absorbed in painting. There is no pressure to create something perfect. It's about slowing down, looking closely and experiencing a place more intensely.

A bizarre landscape, a magical sunset, a wild animal, a tree full of delicious oranges or an old door that seems to have a thousand stories to tell… I find beauty and inspiration in so many unexpected places.

And, of course, I take thousands of photos along the way! Some of these photographs and little sketches later become the starting point for larger artworks in my studio. A moment captured during a journey can grow into a painting months or even years later.

These are just a few impressions from my recent trip to Sardinia. There was so much more to discover!

Nature is an incredible treasure, overflowing with colours, shapes and little wonders. The more closely you look, the more you see. And the ideas? They never run out.

What if your next adventure could make a difference?  

Earlier this year, I volunteered with in South Africa. I discovered what it means to be part of something bigger than yourself: contributing to wildlife conservation while experiencing the African bush in a completely different way.

And that inspired an idea…

Two weeks in the African wilderness. Meaningful conservation work. Wildlife encounters. Watercolour painting lessons and the feeling that you’re not just witnessing nature – you’re helping protect it. 

I’m planning of sharing this experience with a small group in 2027 / 2028.

🍂 Autumn is here – even though the last few days have brought us some surprisingly warm weather again.

I painted these two pieces a while ago after walks through the forest, while searching for mushrooms and capturing those little autumn moments with my camera.

They’ve now arrived in my online shop.
