Joachim Westermann, founder of WESMO

When I first discovered with the Caterham Super Seven back in 1992, it instantly became clear to me – as a technically minded craftsman and motorcycle rider – that this was more than just a car. The philosophy of power-to-weight ratio struck a deep chord with me. I knew right away this would not be a short-lived affair, but the beginning of a long racing journey.

What started as pure fascination quickly evolved into serious motorsport. Over the years, this path led to countless race wins. Competing across circuits, seasons, and borders, success on track became the result of relentless development, mechanical precision, and an uncompromising racing mindset.

Alongside my other business, this motorsport adventure grew into a true success story. Both paths reflect the same principles: consistency, craftsmanship, and the courage to remain authentic. One deeply rooted locally, the other recognized and respected internationally.

I have followed my own racing line – from the early days with MOG Racing, through the professional and structured era of Westermann Motorsport, to what today defines WESMO Caterham Experiences. Each stage sharpened the focus, raised the standards, and added another chapter to the story.

Expect real stories from both the paddock and the workshop – driven by championship-winning experience, mechanical passion, and the firm belief that cars built for drivers only reveal their true soul when pushed hard and driven honestly.
