Georgia je romantik skrznaskrz. Zbožňuje fanfikce a hltá je do noci jednu za druhou. Ale ještě nikdy se nezamilovala, nezažila první polibek. Na vysoké konečně potkává q***r lidi napříč spektrem a začíná zkoumat vlastní identitu – je jí souzeno zůstat bez lásky, nebo celou dobu jen hledala něco jiného, než měla?
Dlouho jsem přemýšlela, jakou knížku vybrat, a vyhrála tahle. Obvykle YA moc nemusím (přijdu si moc stará a nad vším tím drámem protáčím oči tak, že vidím svůj malý, hladký mozek), ale tahle knížka je jiná. Nevím, kdy jsem naposledy četla něco, co by ve mně zanechalo pocit, že všechno bude okay. Jo, možná je život někdy děsivý a těžký, ale nejsem sama, na světě jsou lidi jako já a vždycky jeden druhého najdou a vše je v pohodě. Budu v pohodě.
Knihu mi doporučilo několik kamarádek, všechny dávno odrostlé YA kategorii, některé z nich q***r, některé hetero. Tahle knížka je prostě balzám na mozek. Proto ji posílám dál. Všechno bude v pohodě.

A story about a fanfiction-obsessed romantic, suddenly panicking as reality sets in. Georgia has never had a crush, let alone kissed anyone. She goes to university and meets q***r people of various labels and starts exploring her own identity, wondering if she’s destined to remain loveless or if she’s just been looking for the wrong thing all along.
I thought long and hard about which book to choose. My heart was set on this one. I’m usually not a big fan of YA (I’m past that age and mostly roll my eyes over all the drama so hard I see my smooth little brain) but this book hits different. It’s warm and full of hope. I can’t remember the last time when I read a book and felt so much like things would be okay. It might be hard sometimes and it can be scary, but there are people like me out there and they flock together and it will be okay. I will be okay.
It was recommended to me by several friends, all of ripe old age beyond the YA target audience (in their late twenties), some of them q***r, some of them straight. It just resonates. That’s why I’m passing it on. To remind you that things will be okay.
