Thursday Off Public Holiday, it's the Dragon Boat Festival!
According to the lunar calendar, the Dragon Boat Festival is on the fifth day of the fifth month each year. In this hot summer day, our tranditions are prepared the fragrant sachets to the children, the realgar wine to the adults to deter insects. Also, people will have the dragon boat races and eat rice dumplings to commemorate the death of Qu Yuan (c. 340-278 BC), a renowned poet and royal minister from the Chu state during the Zhou dynasty.
