Before there was porcelain as we know it, there was Gongxian. 🏺🔥

Nestled in Henan, the Gongxian Kiln was one of the Tang dynasty’s most daring innovators — the first to mass-produce white porcelain, the first to master underglaze cobalt blue (yes, the blue that would later define Yuan blue-and-white). Without Gongxian, there might be no Jingdezhen as we know it.
