What Are Simmer Pots?

Simmer pots are a natural, flame-free way to make your home smell amazing—perfect for households with pets or young children. Made with Canadian-sourced fruits and spices, our blends at Auroras Trading Post are crafted with care. For ingredients that can’t be grown locally, like mangoes, we partner with trusted growers in Mexico, ensuring quality while supporting local and international communities.

How to Use a Simmer Pot:

1. Fill a pot with water and bring it to a boil.

2. Add the contents of the bag (remove the silica packet first!).

3. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer, releasing its wonderful aroma.

4. Add a pinch of salt to enhance the scent.

5. Enjoy the fresh, inviting fragrance while you clean, work, or relax.

You can store the mixture in the fridge and reuse it for up to three days—though it’s best within the first two.

With spring around the corner, our simmer pots are the perfect way to refresh your home while welcoming the new season with warmth and good cheer. Each one is handmade with love by me and my toddler and has a shelf life of up to one year.
