we design and build Beautiful Custom Pool Tables & Custom Snooker Tables as well as restore beloved Heirlooms, just for YOU. Note from The President, John Tschirhart:
I grew up under 12’ ceiling in a stately home enjoying family dinners in the formal dining room. Sitting on carved high back leather chairs, my feet dangling in the air. I admired the antique dining room table, made of mahogany wi

th large ornately carved French provincial legs. I sat there a little prince, OK, I am a dreamer, but it was truly inspirational. There is no doubt this atmosphere shaped my taste for fine furnishings, and created in me a desire to acquire the skills needed to create such inspirations. At the same time, it was at the Waterloo Club on an old 6x12 Burrough’s & Watt's snooker table, with unforgiving pockets and warped slate, that my interest in billiards came to birth. At nine years of age I spent hours playing snooker never realizing the impact the game would have on my life. As early as 1974, age 14, I started re-clothing coin operated pool tables that my father “Delsy” had throughout Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge and Guelph. In 1981 my wife and I set up a small retail shop selling billiard supplies, used tables and new mass-produced tables. During the following seven years I serviced 1000’s of retail customers, also commercial clubs and pool halls. Through these years I came to see poor and good designs in tables. Samuel May, Thurston, Burrough’s & Watt's are names and product I have come to deeply respect. As mentor of these men, in 1988-89 dissatisfied with poor quality and the sheer repetitious nature of mass-produced tables, I set out on a venture of emulating and reviving the quality and originality of the Great Billiard Manufacturers of Old. The result is: I have been a small custom manufacturer for 24 years. Now with the knowledge, skills and flexibility to produce and oversee the production of fine custom furnishings to any clients taste and exacting demands. With an insatiable appetite for excellence, I put forth earnest effort to keep the tradition of old world craftsmanship alive. Guaranteeing you get a product that makes you look good and one your client will be proud to own for generations. Imagine the dreams we can make come true when we dream together. I would be happy to personally assist you in any upcoming projects. Please call me John Tschirhart (Shear Heart) @ 1-877-582-8225 or send an email inquiry [email protected]

This year marks 200 years since Dereham Forge (later named Tillsonburg) was settled. Our heritage table from the Tillson's is getting new pockets installed from Tschirharts Custom Billiards

Did you know? Our Snooker table belonged to E V. (Edwin Van Norman) Tillson, son to E.D. (Edvin Delevan) Tillson, first mayor of Tillsonburg, and grandson to George Tillson, founder of Tillsonburg. It was purchased by E.V. in the early 1900s for "Seven Gables" on Oxford St.

It was donated to the Tillsonburg Museum and Annandale House and it was determined to be in surplus of their needs and in 1998 it was entrusted to the Tillsonburg Senior Centre for the use and enjoyment of those using the Senior Centre.

Love knowing the History of tables we work on. Hope we can restore this fully one day!
