Make socks on a circular sock machine? Even if you don’t - do you think you know (or could guess) what was just done as shown by this image?

Often I hear users saying they need to keep track step by step in order to know where they were in their sock if they get interrupted. I never have that problem and neither will you if you take time to read your machine. 🙂

As a hint I am working the heel with short rows - did I just work the row and lower the last worked needle on the left - YES - you can tell because the last knitted stitch is on the last lowered left needle and the yarn path is right there.

This image was done while making the socks featured in the prior post.

This free pattern has printed step by step instructions and a stand-alone free step by step video - check my website csmlove.com for my patterns for the: Cuff Down Mock Rib Shortie Socks

These were made with a 72 slot cylinder with a 60 row foot at this gauge.

Our first project using the newly made I-Cord using the electric Azucena Tricord machine. They’re Portuguese and are located in Brazil with an Etsy store and website - the website sometimes has sales not seen on Etsy. Connect with them on Instagram This machine is the best I’ve seen yet with its compact design, ease of use and powerful motor. This project utilized five super thin yarns knitted with the machine into a variegated I-Cord that was then crocheted into a fabric. My crochet hook broke so I had to temporarily stop and wait for a replacement. :)

Gotta admit one of these socks is certainly way more appealing. Make your freshly made socks easier to gift by using hand steamer when you’re unable to pre-wash your finished handmade socks.

This is the steamer (from Amazon) purchased last year. 🙂

Remember our first mention in 2021 of finding Katrinkles adjustable sock blockers and with an easy labeling - they can be used to size confirm socks (that have been washed and dried)?

They’ve revised their adjustable design since then (I prefer the old version) but they still work to size confirm socks!

Their sliding and secure design makes them easier to adjust but needing more securement with the attachment pieces.

Find more on how to update these for this easy feature by looking on our main index lookup page (Misc CSM menu). Also viewable on the Supplies I like page under the Supplies menu.
