I am profoundly grateful to share that today, I celebrate 18 years of sobriety.

This past year has been particularly challenging with the loss of my mom and a very close friend.

Through all of the ups and downs I can say this. My worst days sober are better that my best days using.

I never ever thought I would have to explain this but here are three things you should know about Strongbars:

1) we are 100% Canadian owned
2) absolutely none of our ingredients are sourced from the US as the country of origin. Some ingredients arrive to us via the US but none of our ingredients are American made

3) we don't sell on Amazon - and we won't especially since Amazon announced the closing of Amazon warehouses in Quebec.

We are making some changes at Strongbars. First all non-local shipments are suspended until the strike action at Canada Post is resolved. We simply can't afford to pay for regional shipping.

But we are hopeful that the strike will end soon. In the meantime use the code TAXFREESHIP to save the equivalent of the sale taxes and get free shipping.

This is not a cry for help. Just putting this out there to say all small businesses are getting kicked in the teeth - repeatedly.

1) rising costs - just this week , two suppliers contacted me to say that their costs are going up. So that means so are mine

2) holiday spending is down across the board. Less revenue for small business

3) Interest rates are falling but are still too high for my current debt load. Same for many small business owners

4) for businesses that ship goods, the Canada Post strike is a really painful experience. Alternative delivery options are, in many cases, prohibitively expensive.

I am not looking for sympathy, not a solution. I have it under control. But many businesses out there need your support (go buy something from them) and your patience.
