GenWoo Shop Artisan Party and Paper Genie made her first tassel garland for her baby boy on the way in summer 2013. Appreciate your time! Genie loves hearing from you!

After that, she became addicted to tasselling and kept doing it for fun and relaxing. Just to give it a try, she opened an Etsy shop in winter 2013 and listed a few tassel garlands in the shop and received her first order in a short time! The first success encouraged her to keep working hard on her little handcraft business. Now she's been making wedding and party decorations full-time and turned

the hobby during maternity leave into an online business, not only for tassel garlands, but also for confetti, balloons, and many upcoming ones! No matter when, Genie is passionate in handcraft and always insists to provide great quality products and custom design services.

Meet Genie (again). It’s been too long since my last self-intro.

I’m the designer and creator behind GenWoo, a handmade party studio I founded 12 years ago in Ottawa, Canada.

In the studio, I work with balloons, paper, and tinsel. I also low-key draw, paint, sew, and bake.

The secret ingredients in this business: my economics academic background and my Asian culture background. They add unique dimensions to how I analyze spaces, manage scale, and execute designs.
